Acting Up

What does it mean to live as a Spirit-filled community of Jesus’ followers?
Acting Up! is an exciting course from Who’s Who in the Bible that dives into the dramatic beginnings of the Church as recorded in the book of Acts. Through stories of Peter, John, Barnabas, and the man healed at the Beautiful Gate, this five-part journey shows how ordinary believers, filled with the Holy Spirit, became bold witnesses and a living example of God’s Kingdom on earth.

Perfect for personal reflection, home groups, church study settings, small groups, and even ministry training, this course blends storytelling, biblical teaching, and practical application. Each session also includes questions designed to spark reflection, prayer, and discussion.

Why This Course Matters

The book of Acts is often called the story of the resurrected community — a reminder that God’s people, empowered by His Spirit, cannot be silenced or shut down. In the face of opposition, misunderstanding, and even imprisonment, the first followers of Jesus lived with courage, generosity, and joy.

This course helps participants:

Understand how the Holy Spirit shaped the identity of the first Christians.

Explore the boldness of Peter and John as they proclaimed Jesus.

Learn how the early Church lived as a radical, caring community.

Reflect on how we can embody the same Spirit-led life today.

Whether in a group or alone, Acting Up! brings Acts alive and invites us to discover what it looks like to follow Jesus in community.
