Hannah & Childlessness

Hannah & Childlessness

What does the Bible say about unfulfilled longings, unanswered prayers, and God’s faithfulness?
Hannah & Childlessness is a five-session course from Who’s Who in the Bible that explores one of Scripture’s most powerful stories of waiting, grief, prayer, and trust. Through the life of Hannah, we encounter the raw questions of “Why, Lord?” and discover the God who meets us in both pain and promise.

Perfect for personal reflection, home groups, church study settings, small groups, and pastoral ministry, this course blends biblical teaching with pastoral sensitivity. Each session includes reflection and discussion questions to help participants process, pray, and apply Hannah’s story to their own lives.

Why This Course Matters

Childlessness touches many lives—directly or indirectly. One in seven couples face infertility, and countless others carry unfulfilled desires for marriage, healing, or other longings. Hannah’s story addresses more than one woman’s sorrow: it gives voice to every believer who has asked “Why has God not answered me?”

This course helps participants:

Confront the reality of pain and longing with honesty.

See how prayer transforms grief into peace even before answers come.

Explore the challenge of surrendering our deepest desires to God.

Discover that fruitfulness in God’s kingdom is more than physical outcomes.

Reflect on what it means to rejoice in God Himself, whatever our circumstances.

Hannah’s journey—through despair, prayer, surrender, joy, and song—offers wisdom and hope for all who walk through seasons of waiting.
