Titus

Titus was a trusted companion of the apostle Paul and a significant leader in the early Christian church. A Gentile convert, he became a living example of the gospel crossing cultural and ethnic boundaries, particularly during debates about whether non-Jewish believers needed to follow Jewish law. Paul relied on Titus for difficult missions, including strengthening churches in Corinth and later appointing him to oversee the church in Crete. The New Testament letter addressed to Titus reveals his responsibility for teaching sound doctrine, correcting false teaching, and appointing godly leaders. Titus is remembered as a faithful, practical, and dependable servant whose leadership helped establish order and maturity within the growing church.
